HOLIDAY RECIPE COUNTDOWN

We’ve talked so much about the Holiday season – from gift-giving to self-care and even dealing with grief. All are important parts of this season for different reasons, but my favorite part is the food. No secret - We love a great plant-based dish that gets us dancing in our seats. So, of course, we could not leave you hanging!

We are sharing the top five Plant-Based Slay dishes you should try this month. Whether you are sharing with family and friends or making a delicious meal for one, these recipes are sure to please. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Ok, let’s get into this countdown.

5. Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Gravy

So simple and easy. You NEED these garlic potatoes in your life! This will be a crowd-pleaser for any holiday gathering you have this season. Not to mention, it’s perfect for your omnivore friends and family who might be a little hesitant to try plant-based foods.

4.  Collard Green Egg Rolls

What else are you going to do with those leftover greens from Thanksgiving? If they are still good to eat, don’t throw them out. Give them new life in an egg roll. Trust me, once you make these egg rolls – the greens won’t be around for too much longer.

3. Sunni’s Cheesecake Strawberries

When I was looking for a dessert recipe, Mama Paige said “why not make Sunni’s Strawberries?” She was right on the money with this recommendation. Simple, sweet and delicious – what more can you ask for after a heavy meal? And, did I mention that these are super easy and require no cooking?

2. Chipotle Sweet Potato Grits Bowl

What else are you going to do with the extra sweet potatoes you didn’t use? Why not turn something sweet into something savory with this Chipotle Sweet Potato Grits Bowl. This recipe is perfect with you need a sharable dish for brunch or need something extra tasty for meal planning this week.

1. Waterloo Apple Fritters

We really should rename these dairy-free donuts, Kawhi’s apple fritters. I know dogs probably shouldn’t have donuts, but good luck ripping these fritters away from the pup or me, for that matter. The donuts are light, sweet and spiced just right. It’s the perfect way to start your morning this holiday season!

But wait, there’s more!

There is nothing better than even more delectable options! We have an eCookbook, Holiday Slay, full of recipes inspired by our family’s holiday favorites – all vegan! Not to mention, it’s free to download for all of our Planted Tribe! If you are not already signed up, be sure to join the tribe today

On the fence? Here are a few pictures from the Holiday Slay!
